ITTY GRITTY Selection Process
Review the eligibility criteria and selection process for the Ontario Equestrian ITTY GRITTY program. Built for the next generation of talent, Itty Gritty is Ontario Equestrian’s exciting new pilot program designed to identify and support emerging athletes on the path toward high-performance sport. Targeting five promising athletes ages 10 to 13 currently competing at the 1.00m–1.15m level who demonstrate future podium potential, Itty Gritty creates an early introduction to the high-performance pathway and culture.
GRIT Selection Process
Review the eligibility criteria and selection process for the Ontario Equestrian GRIT program. GRIT sets the standard for high-performance equestrian development by providing athlete testing, education, enhanced training, and support services to riders who demonstrate podium potential, ages 13 to 27. GRIT is targeted at athletes in show jumping, eventing, and dressage. This is an athlete and coach development program.
Young Dressage Horse Development Series
The Ontario Equestrian Young Dressage Horse Development Series intends to promote young dressage horses on their competitive pathway through qualifying classes and a season-end Championship.
Every “Penny” Counts – Distribution of Provincial Government's $250,000 to Support Riding Stables
On April 12, 2022, Ontario Equestrian (OE) released a statement announcing the distribution of $250,000 to Ontario’s public riding schools from the Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries, in an effort to stabilize sport and recreation due to the negative impact left by COVID-19.
