Becoming a member of the GRIT Team has been a long-standing goal of mine. Since I was 11 years old, I have looked up to GRIT athletes as role models — not only for their performance in the ring, but for the way they represent themselves, their horses, and the sport. The GRIT philosophy, prioritizing horse longevity, athlete development, and high-performance standards, reflects exactly the kind of equestrian I strive to be. This sport asks so much of our horses, our time, and our resources. I believe it is our responsibility to match that commitment by becoming the best athletes we can be in return. Through the 2026 GRIT Team, I am excited to grow alongside driven, like-minded riders while building lasting habits in and out of the saddle. I look forward to learning from the program’s technical advisors, embracing new ideas, and strengthening a network that represents the future of our sport. Most of all, I value the balance within GRIT, the intensity and professionalism paired with the camaraderie, humour, and shared passion that come from a room full of dedicated horse people.
