Stable Conversations is a monthly discussion series designed to bring stable owners and managers together to share openly, learn from one another, and tackle the real challenges of running a barn.
The Stable Conversation: Staff Sustainability – Building and Supporting a Strong Team is a practical, discussion-based Stable Conversation session focused on how stable owners can structure and support their teams for long-term success. Experienced industry voices will share what’s working in their programs, followed by guided small group discussions to explore common challenges around hiring, retention, and day-to-day management.
As a group, participants will examine topics such as pay structures, contractors vs. employees, incentives, burnout, and job expectations—leaving with ideas and strategies to build a more sustainable, supported, and effective team.
